Certificates
The BRC, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 14001, HACCP, HALAL and Kosher certifications held by Misso Foods, and what each one guarantees for buyers.
In food export, a supplier is judged by its paperwork as much as by its product. Misso Foods facilities run on a documented system that records every step from raw material intake to final packaging and is audited regularly by independent bodies. The certifications below are maintained so that our buyers can clear customs, satisfy retail listing requirements and meet consumer expectations in their own markets.
- FDA — Facility registration with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Registration is mandatory for plants shipping food to the United States and confirms that our facility is on the FDA register, a precondition for entering the U.S. market.
- BRC — The retail sector's global food safety standard. Frequently a prerequisite for supermarket chains and private-label programmes, it demonstrates that the site has passed independent audit on hygiene, product control, traceability and site management.
- ISO 9001 — Quality management system standard. It shows that every process, from order intake to dispatch, is defined, measurable and repeatable. For a buyer, that means orders are produced against an agreed specification, with deviations recorded and corrected.
- ISO 22000 — Food safety management system. It confirms that food-related hazards are identified and managed systematically across the whole supply chain within an internationally recognised framework.
- ISO 14001 — Environmental management system. It evidences control over the environmental impact of production, including waste and resource use — an important reference for corporate buyers with sustainability criteria.
- HACCP — Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points. Physical, chemical and biological risks along the line are mapped in advance, control limits are set for each critical point and records are kept. The logic is prevention rather than detection.
- HALAL — Halal production certificate. It verifies that ingredients, additives and production conditions comply with halal requirements, and is routinely requested for shipments to the Middle East, North Africa and Southeast Asia.
- Kosher — Certification of compliance with Jewish dietary law (kashrut). Granted after review of ingredients, equipment and process, it is a condition of shelf entry in markets that require kosher products.
